Ziying Chen 陈紫莹

PhD student in Informatics, University of Edinburgh.

I am a second-year Ph.D. student at the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science (LFCS), School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, supervised by Yang Cao. Before Edinburgh, I received my B.Eng. in Computer Science and Technology from Beihang University in June 2024.

My research centers on vector databases and the representations that power them — spanning embedding and retrieval systems, representation learning, and cross-model alignment.
